Rocky Mountain Reclamation provides revegetation services to clients at various sites around the western states, including Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Idaho, South Dakota, Nebraska, western Texas, Montana, and Arizona.

Most of our work is on coal and precious metal mines, pipelines, airports, private projects, & state highway projects, planting native grass, wildflower, and shrub seed (after the site has been contoured and graded by others). We operate relatively new 4 wheel drive John Deere tractors (120 Hp & up) with discs, drills, and mulchers, or sometimes we use a hydroseeder or other equipment where tractors cannot operate.

If you are a self-motivated person with good experience operating John Deere tractors and farm equipment, enjoy traveling and seeing new country, and prefer variety in your daily schedule, then you will enjoy working as a member of the Rocky Mountain Reclamation team.

Equipment operation often involves minor breakdowns; therefore, you need to be able to make repairs while in the field. Our service trucks are very well stocked with hand and power tools, parts, and gas and arc welders. You need to be able to work well with others, including mine reclamation specialists, highway inspectors, and other clients, making sure we provide the highest quality workmanship possible.

You will also need to keep accurate daily records of acres done, tractor hours, etc. and calculate the percent of pure live seed and amount of seed applied to each acre (usually 5 - 20 minutes are needed each day to keep good records). In addition to safety training, we will train you to fill out necessary paperwork and safely operate all of our specialized equipment.

Possibilities for advancement to project foreman/superintendent are very high for qualified individuals.
